2020-2023 Mill Creek DB Manual

The 2022 DB Class were vital to the 7a Georgia State Championship victory, 70-35 over Carrollton. 

Cornerbacks: Trajen Greco (Missouri) Justin Content (UTEP)

Safeties: Caleb Downs (Ohio State) Jaiden Patterson (UNC)

This manual helped guide 2 players at cornerback who had never played DB at any level; transitioning from WR to the defensive side of the ball.
The manual was reviewed with Caleb Downs and edited based on his and other players’ feedback to enhance its effectiveness.

Credit is due: DB play is nothing new. Saban, Venables, Aranda, and Belichick were vital to this manual because the base defense for this team specifically shared so many terms and based out of split field coverage from a 3-4 Okie/Tite Front.

Reference also belong to Coach Smart, Coach Muschamp, and Coach Schumann for their adjusted “Saban” coverage families for the Mint Front.

These coaches were vital because of their impact on the game; they deserve their credit however it is no secret they are the masters of modern defense. Some of these coaches currently coach those players this manual was made for, all of them recruited them!
