In the run game, they lean hard into their full-flow (Strong-Lead) 21 personnel outside zone family of concepts. They have endless ways to tag the assignments between the offensive line, tight end, and fullback to create the best angles possible for the play to work. They use these variations to get their speedy running backs in space. I go through each variation in this book and discuss how each affect the defense.

They take it one step further, and also major in Crack Toss and Crack Seal. These concepts use a flexed receiver or tight end to crack the defensive end, to force the ball on the perimeter. My favorite variations from 2023 are diagrammed and discussed in this book.

The Dolphins carry a vast play action inventory. In 2022, they had one of the highest usage rates of play action in the NFL. They use formations-motions to create windows over the middle of the field for their speedy receivers to work. They also find ways to compliment their base concepts and attack outside the numbers as well.
